Ormolu
When East meet West
Ormolu derives from the French word "or moulu" meaning ground/ molten gold. It is a popular 18th century decorative technique that sees European styled gold colored/ gold plated bronze mounted on Oriental styled porcelain. So popular amongst the riches & royals at the time, the east meet west decorative style immediately evokes imagery of French Palace, and are thusly named after the French King nowadays.
Built upon our foundation of porcelain craftmanship, our artisans combined the fine craft of traditional lost wax casting and give our porcelain a golden touch, just as it was done in Europe centuries ago. We aim not to create extravagance, but a harmonious union of the Chinese porcelain and European Bronze that both reflect the art culture of two different regions and celebrate the exotic beauty of an artistic crossover.
